About Me

Growing up in the vibrant streets of New York during the 80s and 90s, Jay “Jay Matic” Corbin was immersed in a musical tidal wave that shaped his destiny. From the pulsating beats of Disco to the raw energy of Rock, the infectious rhythms of Freestyle to the lyrical mastery of Hip Hop, he witnessed firsthand how the DJ emerged as the heartbeat of every unforgettable party.

Jay vividly recalls Saturdays spent mesmerized by his father's prowess as a celebrated DJ on NY’s iconic WBLS radio station, spinning vinyl with unparalleled skill. As a teenager, he would sneak into clubs, soaking up the electric atmosphere and the magic of the DJs who rocked the crowd, igniting his passion for curating his own collection of party anthems.

His journey led him to Georgia for college, where he embraced the unique sounds of the “dirty south,” expanding his musical repertoire. Upon returning to Brooklyn, fortune smiled upon him as he took the stage as an opening DJ for legends like Q-Tip, DJ S&S, and DJ Clue. His diverse sound and knack for selecting the perfect tracks caught the attention of Czar Entertainment executive Damien “DEO” Blyden, leading to his first major milestone as a Czar Squad DJ, sharing the spotlight with notable artists like Sheek Louch of the LOX and Aftermath's The Game.

Jay's relentless pursuit of greatness propelled him to build a devoted following and embrace a multitude of genres, from House and EDM to Latin and Reggae. This adaptability opened the door to prestigious private events, weddings, and corporate gigs, entertaining audiences for renowned brands such as Nike, Under Armour, ESPN, Adidas, and Polo. Today, Jay continues to electrify events, rocking the stage at the Super Bowl for ESPN, hosting VIP parties for the New York Giants and Brooklyn Nets, and celebrating life’s milestones at weddings across the tristate area. His journey is a testament to the power of music and his enduring legacy as a true party maestro.
